Before & After Results: Primary Rhinoplasty with Nasal Tip Surgery in Thick-Skinned Patients
Procedure: Endonasal (closed) structural rhinoplasty using the Banner Technique
Goal: Correct bulbous nasal tip with poor support and enhance definition and balance while maintaining a scarless, natural result.
This female patient presented with thick skin, a bulbous tip, and weak nasal cartilages, resulting in poor nasal definition and lack of support. A structural nasal tip surgery was performed, by Dr Paulo A. Escobar, through a closed (endonasal) approach using the Banner Technique, which employs septal cartilage grafts to reinforce and reshape the nasal tip.
In this case of nasal tip surgery, by strengthening the underlying framework, the tip definition and projection were improved without the need for alar base reduction, as the enhanced tip structure naturally refined the base configuration. Additionally, tip asymmetry was corrected, achieving a more harmonious profile.
