Code of Ethics & Patient Rights

As an International Fellow member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), we align our practice with the Academy’s ethical principles. This mention is descriptive only and does not imply AAFPRS endorsement or sponsorship of our website, services, or galleries.

1. Patient-first care, dignity & non-discrimination

We provide care that respects every person’s dignity, safety, culture, and privacy. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind. Clinical decisions are guided by medical science, patient values, and the best interests of the individual.

  • You have the right to clear information about benefits, risks, alternatives, costs, and expected recovery.
  • You may accept or refuse recommended treatment and request independent opinions.
  • You may access copies/summaries of your records.
  • We maintain confidentiality consistent with the principle that patients have the right to privacy and confidential communications.

3. Scope, competence & continuous education

Focused on rhinoplasty, we practice within our training, licenses, and hospital privileges, and undertake continuing education to ensure safe, high-quality result

4. Truthful, non-misleading communications

We adhere to the Fellowship pledge to avoid false or misleading advertising. Credentials, fees, outcomes, and the identity of the treating surgeon are presented accurately. We never imply guarantees.

5. Before-and-after photography policy

  • Consent: Images are published only with written, informed patient consent.
  • Privacy: Identifiers are removed when appropriate; data are stored securely.
  • No outcome-altering edits: We do not retouch photos to change anatomy or results. Limited technical edits (crop, exposure, white balance, minor backdrop cleanup) may improve clarity without altering outcomes.
  • Comparable conditions: We seek similar lighting, distance, angles, and postoperative timing to support fair interpretation.
  • Educational purpose: Images illustrate possible, not promised, results; outcomes vary by anatomy and healing.

6. Surgical responsibility & delegation

Your surgeon is personally responsible for preoperative assessment, procedure selection, performance of the essential steps, and postoperative care. Tasks may be delegated to qualified team members under direct supervision, but responsibility is not abdicated. We ensure appropriate continuity of care and provide assistance if transfer is needed.

7. Fees, financial integrity & no fee-splitting

Fees reflect services rendered and complexity. We do not engage in fee-splitting, kickbacks, or rebates for referrals. Financial relationships with companies or facilities are disclosed when relevant.

8. Conflicts of interest

When commercial interests could influence clinical choices, we disclose them and put the patient’s welfare first. If a conflict cannot be reconciled, we help arrange alternative care.

9. Safety, professionalism & reporting

We uphold professional conduct, comply with applicable laws and standards, and encourage reporting of unsafe or unethical behavior. In urgent situations, we provide care to the best of our ability.

10. Communication & second opinions

We welcome questions and second opinions. If you have concerns about your care, photos, or privacy, contact our team; we will respond promptly and transparently.
